Rongjie Lin (Yuan Lin) is an independent researcher and writer based in Toronto. He graduated from Xiamen University in Philosophy and obtained his PhD in history from Renmin University of China. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Xiamen University and University of Milan (Erasmus Mundus Programme). He was also a visiting scholar at University College Dublin (Erasmus Mundus Programme) and at the University of Toronto. He has done research on history, philosophy, politics, diplomacy of China, and also issues concerning Northeast Asia for a number of years.
