Vera Yuen

Vera Yuen is an economics lecturer in the University of Hong Kong Business School. Her research interests include policy studies, political economy and comparative politics. She has held previous teaching positions at the School of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist University and at the School of Humanities and Social Science of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2015, she was a consultant to Our Hong Kong Foundation on its housing and land project. She is also an active participant in community activities and a current affairs commentator.

On the eve of the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover, HKU Business School lecturer Vera Yuen analyses the trend of Hong Kongers leaving and the impact of this mass exist on those left behind.
