Professor of Sociology at the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda UniversitySeio Nakajima is professor of sociology at the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University, Japan. His research focuses on the Chinese film industry and its audiences, combining organisational analysis with ethnographic approaches to film consumption. As director of the Research Institute for Automobile and Parts Industries at Waseda University, he is also launching a new research agenda on next-generation automobile technologies, including autonomous driving and electric vehicles.
