Soraj Hongladarom is Professor of Philosophy at the International Buddhist Studies College, Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and former Director of the Center for Science, Technology, and Society at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. He has published books and articles on diverse issues such as bioethics, computer ethics and the roles that science and technology play in the culture of developing countries. He is mainly concerned about how science and technology can be integrated into the life-world of people in the so-called Third World countries, and the kind of ethical considerations that can be obtained from such relations.He is the author of The Ethics of AI and Robotics: A Buddhist Viewpoint (2020), The Online Self (2016) and A Buddhist Theory of Privacy (2016). His articles have also appeared in The Information Society, AI & Society, Philosophy in the Contemporary World, and Social Epistemology, among others.
