Adam Y. Liu is an assistant professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP). He obtained his PhD from Stanford University and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as "Business as Usual? Territorial Disputes and Economic Exchanges between China and Japan" (with Xiaojun Li), International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, Volume 19, Issue 2 (May 2019). His dissertation book project "Building Markets within Authoritarian Institutions: The Political Economy of Banking Development in China" was the winner of the BRICS Economic Research Award 2020. He was also the instructor for the LKYSPP courses Research Methods for International Affairs (2019, 2020) and The Political Economy of Reform in China (2020).
