Chia Shimin

Chia Shimin is a Research Assistant at the East Asian Institute (EAI), National University of Singapore (NUS). She holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in International Relations from the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), and a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from NUS. Her current research interests focus on the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the Russian military, and broader issues in International Relations. Prior to joining the institute, she was a civil servant with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Manpower in Singapore.
