Giulio M. Gallarotti is Professor of Government and Professor of Environment Studies at Wesleyan University and Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Columbia University. His research areas include power studies, economic relations, environmental studies, American foreign policy and international business. He has published books such as Emerging Powers in International Politics: The BRICS and Soft Power (editor with Mathilde Chatin 2017) and A History of Monetary Diplomacy, 1867 to the Present: The Rise of the Guardian State and Economic Sovereignty in a Globalizing World (2022). He has also published numerous articles in leading journals across five disciplines: economics, politics, law, history, and business.
