John Lim Chuan-Tiong

Research Fellow, Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, University of Tokyo
John Lim Chuan-tiong is a research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia at the University of Tokyo. He was a professor and executive director of the Institute for Japanese Studies at Wuhan University. He was also an associate fellow at Academia Sinica, and an associate professor at the University of the Ryukyus in Japan. He received his PhD in International Relations from the Graduate School of Law and Politics at the University of Tokyo. His research interests are centered on the International relations in East Asia. He is the author of The Power Shift between China and Japan and the Rebuilding of East Asian Order (2022).
