Senior Lecturer, Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of MalayaNgu Ik Tien is a senior lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Malaya in Malaysia. She obtained her PhD (Political Science) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Malaysia and her MA (Political Science) from California State University in the US. Her areas of research include the Chinese community in Malaysia, local politics in Sarawak, and Christian development in Malaysia.
