Xiao Weiqing
Chair of the Department of Translation and Interpreting, Shanghai International Studies UniversityProfessor Xiao Weiqing is a PhD adviser of Translation Studies and chair of the Department of Translation and Interpreting at Shanghai International Studies University. She was previously a Fulbright scholar at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Her research interests include audiovisual translation (AVT) as well as translation and interpreting (T&) teaching and she has translated 12 books. She has also given presentations on AVT studies and T&I pedagogy at conferences, seminars and other events in China, the UK, the US and New Zealand.
