David Okoronkwo
Schwarzman Visiting Fellow, Centre on Contemporary China and the World, University of Hong KongDavid Okoronkwo is a Schwarzman Visiting Fellow at the Centre on Contemporary China and the World (CCCW) at the University of Hong Kong. He holds a master’s degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University and a joint master’s in Sustainability in Agriculture, Food Production, and Food Technology from the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the University of Novi Sad. David has published more than ten peer-reviewed articles on climate adaptation, sustainability and agri-food policy. He has also worked with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in Nigeria, served as a Youth Policy Delegate at the UN World Food Forum and gained industry experience with multinational corporations like LIMAGRAIN GmbH and Syngenta. His evolving academic interests include the political ecology of international agricultural cooperation, predictive analytics for climate-smart agriculture and global food security. At CCCW, his research examines China’s agricultural investments in ASEAN and Africa and their implications for food security and national sovereignty.
