Sun Haiyan
Former Chinese Ambassador to SingaporeSun Haiyan was the Chinese Ambassador to Singapore from May 2022 to July 2023. She joined the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC) in 1997, where she served as director-general of China Center for Contemporary World Studies, director-general of the Bureau of Public Information and Communication and director-general of the Bureau in charge of exchanges with South and Southeast Asian countries. She has also worked in Zibo City, Shandong province. She holds a LLD from Peking University, has studied in Kyushu University, and was a visiting scholar at Harvard University.
