Thomas DuBois

Thomas DuBois 杜博思 is a professor at Beijing Normal University’s Wenxueyuan 文学院. A historian by training, DuBois has published extensively on the topics of religion and law in China’s late Qing and Republican periods. His newest book, China in Seven Banquets: A Flavourful History [https://reaktionbooks.co.uk/work/china-in-seven-banquets] was published in 2024 by Reaktion Books, with Chinese and Japanese translations forthcoming later this year.
