Toru Kurata
Professor, Faculty of Law, Rikkyo UniversityToru Kurata is a professor at the Faculty of Law, Rikkyo University. He completed his doctoral studies at the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies, University of Tokyo, in 2008. His specialisation is Hong Kong politics. His publications include “Hong Kong Political Crisis” (University of Tokyo Press, 2021, the Masayoshi Ohira Memorial Award), “Hong Kong after the Handover to China” (Nagoya University Press, 2009, Suntory Prize for the Humanities). He also co-authored “Hong Kong” (Iwanami Shinsho, 2015), and co-edited “The Deep insight of the crisis in Hong Kong” (Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Press, 2019).
