ResearcherWinnie HY Cheung is an independent researcher with an eclectic set of interests that includes tailoring, breadmaking, and how to make Singapore food outside of Singapore. Her early academic training had been in theoretical linguistics until she discovered in 2010 that her scholarly passions are best sustained by staying outside academia. She has published works on Cantonese phonology, early Cantonese English, and dabbled with possible forensic applications in bilingual articulations of consonants.
