Joseph Chinyong Liow is Wang Gungwu Professor in East Asian Affairs and Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also Chairman, Middle East Institute, NUS. His research interests include Geopolitics, Geoeconomics, and the International Politics of the Asia-Pacific Region; International Politics of the Middle East; and Muslim Politics and Social Movements in Southeast Asia (primarily Malaysia and Indonesia).
